Keno – Overview and Free Play
Another popular casino game for many is the game of Keno. Keno, like the lottery, is a game of pure luck. If you’re familiar with the state lottery, you have enough knowledge already to play keno. But, if you don’t know much about either of the two, this is a good place to start. In both cases you select a variety of numbers and hope that those will be picked in a draw.
Depending on how many numbers you got right, you might get some kind of payoff, but that depends on what game you play – some may be more generous than others.
Whether it’s the lottery or Keno, neither is a positive expectation game and won’t return much of what you put into it, but if you hit the big numbers everything you’ve ever put into Keno will be paid back and more!
On the Keno page on OCR you are able to play Playtech’s version of Keno.
History of Keno
According to an ancient scroll, Keno history started in China over 2000 years ago. It was a man named Cheung Leung who invented this game of chance wanting to save his city. With the residents refusing to give any more financial support towards the war fund, the army quickly ran out of supplies and the city was in danger.
Leung’s game produced enough revenue to supply his army with all that they needed, and so the city was saved. In the years that followed, the game spread vastly throughout China, and raised enough money to fund the building of the Great Wall, which has become a world-renowned wonder.
The game became known as the White Pigeon Game because pigeons were used to communicate the winning results of the game from the greater cities to the small villages in the country.
