ISILDUR1 FACES THE ONLINE ACES (Update)

Full Tilt Poker's highstakes virtual tables are generating an increasing flow of spectator traffic to the website as the epic online confrontations between mystery Swedish player Isildur1 and a series of world class Internet aces continues to see huge amounts of money change hands.

In the latest night's action, Isildur1 took on poker pro Cole South playing $200/$400 Pot-Limit Omaha, going down in defeat to the tune of $375 000 over almost 900 action-packed hands. Apparently unfazed by this loss, Isildur1 then challenged South to more action at $300/$600 POL, where he hammered the surprised South for $888 000 before looking for someone else to play.

That someone else turned out to be his old enemy Tom Dwan, but after 90 minutes of being unable to dominate the Team Full Tilt ace, Isildur1 opened the game up to Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius, choosing $500/$1 000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em.

The four players mixed it up with some exciting play and big pots before Dwan retired down about $14 000. Ivey, on the other hand, stayed in the fight for almost a thousand hands, making it worth his while by sticking it to Isildur1 for a stunning $800 000.

Antonius played only 430 hands against the mystery Swede and did not fare well, leaving the tables down $253 000. One might have thought this was enough adrenalin for one night, but Dwan returned, this time to challenge Isildur1 to a $500/$1 000 PLO heads up which stretched to almost 2 400 hands and ultimately saw Dwan drop another $230 000.

The night was not a complete disaster for Dwan, who had earlier taken Brian Townsend for over a half-million dollars, enabling him to balance the books at night's end with a positive $320 000 according to MarketPulse numbers.

After all that effort, when Isildur1's wins and losses were totted up, he was ahead around $80 000 on the night.
