What a shame that the man who was arguably the best footballer of his generation decided to end his international career on such a shameful, selfish note by putting his desire to lash out above the welfare of his team. That's not the Zizou I'd like to remember, but it won't be easy to forget.

To be fair to Zidane, from what I have read, the Italian player really said something quite bad to him. That said he should not have done what he did.

I feel really sorry for Zidane. Everyone makes mistakes and he made it at the worst posible time of his career. The reality is that no matter what was said, he behaved stupidly. Yeeezzzzz When we play a rugby or cricket match that is one of our prime techniques to swing the game in our favor. At that level you get use to be called names.
