Biased here and I never back my own team.But Bristol City's odds of reaching the Premiership have dropped to as low as 12/1. Now even though we have a tough run in, which includes Cardiff at the Gate tomorrow to just get into the playoffs. We would then need to win them.

However I am sorely tempted to putting £20 at 12/1 and those odds are sure to shrink further tomorrow afternoon should we overcome Cardiff, which I really fancy us to do.

Out of the other contenders, I still believe even at this late stage and with their points already in the bag that Wolves will blow up and miss out on the auto places. With Birmingham and Reading taking the top two places.

Your home form has the profile of a side that will not amass enough points to reach the playoffs.

That is why your odds look big, in comparison to teams around you.

That however, does not mean City won't improve their last 3 home games. Today's late goal was grim for you.

So:
# You have 3 home games left, of which you'll need to win all 3.

# You have 6 away games of which you'll have to beat, or not lose to close rivals in the table Swansea and Burnley, or they'll both end up above you.

# You are also going to have to get something away at relegation challenged Forest. You'll also have to accept losing at Loftus Road next saturday

Hence you're talking atleast 3 home wins, and 3 away draws from 4, or win atleast one. That's 70 points, and that won't be enough for 6th spot. (last 5 years are like, 78, 76, 70, 78 or something similar if I recall)

Conclusion: No bet.

A better bet for a biased City fan?
3 X £7 win singles on B City to lose at home. Stop at a winner.

As a Mighty Red's (the Mersey-side sort) supporter, it's good to see you & Webzcas' eternal optimism for your "also ran" teams....

Apparently (I missed Match of the Day this weekend) we had quite a good result against Man U yestarday...

Absolutely gutted

The journey back home from Ashton Gate this afternoon was quite sombre.

Nicky Maynard scored an absolute gem for us, a real something out of nothing goal that got the whole of Ashton Gate bar the Cardiff fans bouncing. Even Gary Johnson bounced upon request.

Yet Basso's fumble at the end let Cardiff in to steal a share of the points and make our play off hopes look now remote.

However it is technically still in our own hands. We have seven games left and I reckon we need 16 points from the 21 on offer. That would mean we would equal our points tally of last season which saw us finish in fourth place. A tough ask but possible.

We have got to play Preston, Swansea and Burnley in the run in - all big six pointer games.

Anyhow looking forward to picking up 3 points at your place next week Joeyl

On our club forum incidentally ( OTIB - One Team in Bristol

) there is mention that Johnson is 2nd favourite for the QPR managerial position. Whilst laughable - As in why would he go there, a downward step. As we have a new stadium in the offing, a great chairman, good support and the job is not finished. What do you reckon about this rumour, especially as your manager is still in place?

Johnson has gone on record as not liking the continental system of managership.

That being the case, I can't see it.

Too near the end of the season to get any decent odds on the winners. Which is a toss up between Wolves and Birmingham.

The playoffs are a lottery.
