I read somewhere that slot machines constitute about 70 percent of the average casino's income. What do you conclude from this and then why is slots so popular? Are slots just for fun loving “rich and dumb“ people or there can be a strategy that can be used to beat the house? |

People like playing slots because they are simple to play, fun, exciting and give you a good chance of a really big win. You don't have to be rich to play them, and you definitely don't need to be dumb. IMO most people play expecting to lose - just like when you buy a lottery ticket - they know the odds are against them but they still enjoy playing - that doesn't make them stupid! There is no strategy to guarantee to beat ANY casino game - only ways to improve your chances. Taking decent bonuses like I do is certainly one way - and is how I've made profit from slots for the last 5 years. KK

I am sorry but when I see people losing money in games like slots and lottery, you kind of think, what a waste of money. You mentioned a very interesting point that “There is no strategy to guarantee to beat ANY casino game - only ways to improve your chances.” People hardly consider this. I found your analogy of slots with lottery quite amazing. You mean to say odds in slots (be it 3 reel or 5 reel) are somehow equal to lottery. Can you explain why so? |

Obviously the odds of winning big on the Lottery are massively bigger than winning on slots. Though having said that, I don't think many slots players truly appreciate just how extremely unlikely they are to hit the jackpot. For instance, I once hit 5 wilds on Spring Break; even though there are 9 win-lines I could have got it on, the odds of getting this are still 3.96 MILLION to 1 against! ![]() ![]() If anyone is interested in the odds of hitting the top prize on 24 other MG slots, see: www.Slotbeaters.com KK

Thanks KasinoKing for all your answers. Can you suggest me a good place where I can learn to play slots or a good book on slots. I bet there must be one (atleast).

As per my post above, www.SlotBeaters.com is a good a place to start as any, and if you know absolutely nothing about online slots, there is a short but concise description to be found by following the links on the Strategy page of that site. KK
