Default Slots are better than Roulette (Online)

Most casino discussion forums seem to be dominated by threads from people either asking how to beat roulette, or 'snake oil salesman' trying to lure people into buying their 'guaranteed winning system'.

I totally understand the gamblers interest because when I first started playing at casinos (real 'bricks & mortar' places, not online) I spent many an hour trying to come up with roulette betting systems to 'guarantee' I would win.
But like all these systems, I could have good days & win quite a bit or bad days & lose a packet.
But that's not due to my poor system - all roulette systems ultimately fail for 2 main reasons; a) you can not defy the laws of mathematics, and b) because gamblers either get greedy or bottle out and do not stick to the plan.

As for those trying to sell systems, well the question I always ask is this; If your system really does guarantee that you can always profit from roulette, why the hell are you selling it???

Some years after I gave up chasing the roulette rainbow (in 2004 in fact) I gradually started turning away from online card games & roulette and started playing slots. For the last 3 years I would say over 95% of my online gambling is just on slots. And yet I continued to make profits every year, as I have done since 2001.
So how did I do that? 3 main factors;

1) Online casinos give out generous bonuses in which slots always count at 100% toward the Wagering Requirements (Other games, like Blackjack & Roulette often only count at 50% or MUCH less - down to 0% in fact!)

2) I use a 'Martingale' type of system which is the core of most of these roulette schemes, but the big difference with slots is you can do this much more gradually and without involving any 'all or nothing' mega-sized bets.

3) Self Control. No gambler (no matter what he gambles on) will ever make a long term profit if he does not have this. If you want to win, you MUST know when to stop. In the case of slots I always aim to quit when I'm ahead (of course!), but also you need the courage to quit when behind; don't chase a bad loss and make it even worse. (I am not perfect at doing this myself, but I'm doing OK )

Rather than detail everything in full in this post, if anyone wants to know more about any of the above, please post your questions below and I will answer next time I visit.
Free of charge of course - I'm not selling anything!

Happy spinning!

My experience tells me the same thing, with reservations.

I can mess up on pharaohs tomb - high limit, high variance - as fast as i can go broke on any 'set variance' wheel.

It's all in being aware and playing within personal limits - boni notwithstanding.
