I've tried playing for fake money, kept winning a couple of times to my surprise... What do you you guys think will happen if I would play the same games the same way, only for real money? I imagine my odds would slightly change in this case, no?))

This is a very good question - often asked by 'newbies'. I most people's opinions (including mine), all the 'big name' popular softwares play exactly the same in 'fun money mode' as they do in real money play. There was one obscure software who's name I've forgotten, who admitted their play mode was rigged, but this is very much the exception to the rule IMHO. Do you know the software of the casino you were playing? If not, could you give us the name of the casino? Chances are you have just been very lucky so far, but in real or fun play good luck does not last forever, so please take care if you do decide to play for real. KK

Generally robots play against a player in fake money/practice sessions. So, there is definate difference in game play as there is real game with people having different IQ, strategies..... However everything depend upon specific software and how much you know about the game.

Hi, I’ve tried at betvoyager, but don’t have a clue bout what software it uses. I played my own strategy not easy to achieve in a normal casino, that’s why I need to try in an online casino, for now playing just for fake money.

Generally casinos using this type of software and/or from that part of the world are not recommended by the top online casino watchdogs. Personally I would not touch them with barge pole and would advise caution if you do decide to go ahead & play for real. Why don't you try your strategy in a reputable & trustworthy casino & see if you get similar results? I list over 100 on my site (link in my signature in my first post above) who are all A-OK. Take care & good luck! Quote:

When playing all other 'games of chance' in an online casino what the player is dealing with is a Random Number Generator, and a paytable/program. The RNG should not need to be 'tested and confirmed' by the player - it seems like any program that would do that is only crooked and trying to 'prove' it is not crooked. There is no sense 'proving' an RNG unless they are trying to cover for an exploit in the paytable/program. The RNG will randomly (as close to random as anyone but god can create, and something NO-ONE or thing can predict) produce a number. The Program should relate to a paytable and a paytable only (not particular users, history, amount bet, etc.) If a program does more than relate a direct correlation from the RNG to the paytable, it is not a fair game - period, in my opinion. The system/casino spoken of here - betvoyager? Let them address questions as to why on earth anyone would want to verify the RNG? They are the most simple thing to certify. Cheating usually occurs from changing the paytable, or manipulating the program. I consider this Russian casino to be a very very very iffy proposition, and as KK said; 'why bother?' there are games out there that have stood the test of time and are as fair as can possibly be determined - though I'm sure it would take a boycott or other focused loss of marketshare for a company like MicroGaming to even communicate with the communities of gamblers to 'prove' their programs are fair. Why should they? We keep playing and many of us are comfortable with our lifetime play there. Confirmed RNG as a marketing point? A joke at best, a scam at worst. Let them reveal paytables and programs and have the player community decide... until then I would stay far away from such a gimmick. Last edited by lojo; 04-02-2008 at 02:36 AM..
