Default Rival casinos - am I thick?

I think I must be, because I just find this highly amusing!

It was recently discovered that Rival are removing a tiny % of affiliates commission if any of their tagged players play progressive slots.
Many affiliates (especially the millionaire ones) are really getting themselves into a lather over this, making a fuss like Rival broke into their house & stole all their valuables while they were out!
Just goes to show what many affiliates first priority is - and it's not player fairness...

Many webmasters are also threatening to remove Rival casinos from their websites over this.
I'm not. Send your players to my sites please!
I think Rival software is one of the best for genuine casino players, and I am quite happy with the few $ I make here & there from them (when the players don't take them to the cleaners!)

This business never ceases to surprise me...

I can see, "if they'll change the rules on their business partners, what will they do to their players?" as a cautionary anecdote but imo in most cases that thinking is just a cover for, "they think we won't bust their balls with player pressure if they don't play it our way?"

All that matters to me in this is whether it was an unannounced change (if a change at all) because a contract is a contract and if they change the terms, outside of the terms of the contract then rogue it is! If not, then boo fricken hoo! You should have read the terms.

Most affies don't seem to realize they are the casino host; they introduce the player to the tables, (should bring me a drink now and then) and should handle any disputes. If they 'had' to work for the money over the long run they wouldn't promote shite-hole casinos that make then work too hard to protect their players.

When, as a 'community', affiliates rise up in one voice against themselves who promote rogues as well as the rogue casinos, I'll give a flying frick and not look at the "community" with a jaundiced eye when they rise up against Grand Prive or anyone else who gives them a shaft while still honoring their contract of 'a bet layed is a bet played' with the players.

I don't have much pity, but like I said, if it was a change in the darl of night that was not allowed in the original agreements then rogue it is.

I promote a Rival brand and they have admitted the wrong doing, a few days ago I received this.

"In the past couple of weeks Royal Apollo Affiliates had to come to a decision with regards to affiliate’s progressive contributions and we are happy to announce that we will NOT be deducing any progressive contributions from our affiliates.

As always please don’t hesitate to contact your affiliate manager with any questions you have on this issue."

Which is good news, they treat me well and look to be doing what they can to make sure affiliates and players be their top priority.

Now they just need to pay players within their stated time frame. They lost a good customer in me with their lying.

They give up to 6 days which is quite long anyway but they do take the banks processing work into consideration. I assume you got paid in the end?

Nope. 2-5 business days and it has been ten days total. Today is biz day #6 so if they don't pay until Monday (to quicktender for drying outloud) they go on my personal list of casinos to stay the hell away from.. in fact they already are there.

A little communication from them would have prevented me from calling them liars. But they lied when they said it would be 5 biz days and they didn't deliver. It's a lousy $125 and I have no voubt I will be paid. It's just 'little' things like that that turn me sour. It was bad enough that they let it sit as 'processing for a few days before requesting a verification deposit (as if rivals only share bonus database, not player eligibility) but I let that slide.

Anyway, rant over. If they don't pay by monday I'll ask my affiliate to look into it.
