25th January 05 UK online betting exchange Betfair has signed a deal with search engine Yahoo, extending its betting platform to a mass market audience. Betfair is the market leading in Online Betting Exchanges, being the pioneer in this field. Betting Exchanges have grown immensely in popularity over the past few years, as they allow the customers to lay their own bets at their own prices. The betting exchange system also allows customers to set their maximum liability levels. The Exchange acts as a portal of sorts and ensures all winning bets are paid.
Yahoo Betting, to be launched in March, will be built and managed by Betfair specifically for the Yahoo UK & Ireland customer base. Betfair's pioneering concept enables punters to bet at odds set by other punters rather than the bookmaker. This will further enhance and enforce Betfair's position as the worlds market leader in Betting Exchanges.
